|History of name:
There are no mentions of this name in the Christian Bible. However, the most famous religious figure is perhaps Saint Cecilia. A prominent Roman patrician woman who vowed her virginity to God, but her parents married her to Valerian of Trastevere instead. Cecilia informed her new husband that she was accompanied by an angel, but for him to see it, he must be purified. Agreeing to this he was baptised. Following this he found her in prayer accompanied by a praying angel.
Both he and his brother were martyred for their conversions and when Cecilia buried them, she was arrested. She was then ordered to sacrifice to false gods and upon her refusal, she was martyred also.
